Top 4 Ted Talks to Help You Become Fearless

There are lots of resources out there to help you overcome your fears. Everyone has something they fear or are anxious about, whether it’s how to get that promotion or make the jump to a new career or that childhood message that they’re not good enough.

There’s an acronym for fear used widely among mental health practitioners and professionals: False Evidence Appearing Real.

More than ever before, there are people out there to help you. You can choose from podcasts, books, apps, and forums. TED and TEDx talks are an increasingly popular and accessible way to get inspiration and ideas to help you overcome all sorts of obstacles.

Here are some of the top TED talks to help you deal with your fears. Give yourself time to watch the talks a couple of times – take notes in your journal as you listen, noticing what resonates with you and what brings up resistance.

What ideas are sparked by the speaker? Can you see yourself in their stories? How would you react in similar circumstances? Does the talk encourage you to find additional resources to help you along your journey, and what are they?

Note the key concepts of the talks and incorporate them into your journaling practice, create an affirmation, or look up additional material from the speaker. This is especially important if the presentation really resonates with you.
