Read the set of related affirmations below aloud. It’s important to your conscious and subconscious mind to hear the affirmations said in your own voice. Choose one or two of the affirmations from the set to start working with. You only need one or two affirmations, used consistently, to make a substantial change in your life.

Choose one affirmation that feels easy to you and choose another that generates resistance or disbelief. The idea is to practice extending your current self-imposed limits and encourage growth.

Say your chosen affirmation loud enough for your mind to hear your voice saying the words and take notice of how you feel as you begin and as you continue your practice. Repeat your chosen affirmation multiple times a day for at least 30 days and reinforce your affirmation by writing it in your journal.

You can change your life by beginning an affirmation practice – using one or two favorite affirmations over the course of 30 to 60 days can permanently change your mindset and your life.

Loving yourself might be easy to say, but it’s a little harder to do consistently, especially if you’re used to putting yourself on the “back burner” to handle other things in your life. It’s a fact, though, that if you aren’t feeding your heart and soul with love for yourself, everything else in your life gets harder.

You can start using the affirmations below today – read through them silently the first time, then read them aloud. Notice which ones resonate with you immediately, and which ones create a little resistance for you. Take a few minutes and write down two or three of them, and include ones that create that resistance. For the next 21 to 30 days, repeat one or two of these affirmations every day, multiple times each day to help change your mindset and increase your self-love.

It doesn’t have to take a long time to create this affirmation practice, but if you don’t get started, it will NEVER happen. You are worth the time it takes to choose and implement an affirmation practice.

Affirmations to Help You Love Yourself

I choose me every time, every day.

I am worthy of compassion and love.

I extend empathy and love for the people around me and for myself.

I recognize that we are all on our own paths and mine is as valid as any other.

I will no longer apologize for being who I am.

I am at peace with what is happening in my life.

Joy flows through and from me.

When the going gets tough I will keep going to achieve what I deserve.

My spirit and my body are beautiful. I am love.

I am centered. I am grounded. I am peaceful.

I respect my limits and appreciate what I am capable of.

My life is overflowing with love and happiness.

I am profoundly proud of myself.

I am greater than my mistakes.

I have what I need to be happy and I am.

I have the power to change my life.

I choose love.

I am bigger than my negative thoughts.

I do not judge others because I do not judge myself.

I live my own expectations.
