Maintaining a healthy level of self-esteem and self-worth can be extremely hard in our tough, competitive, ego-driven world.

The least little imperfection feels like a veritable mountain, and you might feel like everyone can see your imperfections – no matter how you try to hide or camouflage them.

Learning to love yourself – to express that love as a positive statement or affirmation – to boost and support your self-esteem and self-worth might seem difficult, but it’s essential to your mental and spiritual health.

Use the affirmations below to help increase and reinforce your value in your own eyes, and boost your self-esteem in the process. Start by reading the affirmations aloud, and listen to your voice saying the words.

Notice what comes up for you emotionally – does your “inner voice” reject the positive message immediately? Perhaps that affirmation is one you should start using as part of your daily practice. If the affirmations feel easy, that’s a good sign – embrace it.

For the next 30 – 60 days, repeat one easy affirmation and one more challenging one every day, at least once a day. Use your journal to document your feelings – just a line or two about how it feels to affirm yourself every day in this way is enough.

If the words don’t sound “right” to your ears, feel free to switch up the words, but keep it positive – not neutral, and certainly not negative.

Affirmations to Boost Your Self-Worth and Self-Esteem

I am loved. I am loving. I am worthy. I am enough.

I always treat myself with the utmost respect.

I look at myself through compassionate eyes.

My opinions are important, my views are valued.

My ideas are unique and I am proud to share them.

My life is filled with incredible experiences.

I am intelligent, I am confident, and I am valuable.

With each passing day, I love myself more and more.
