Read the set of related affirmations below aloud. It’s important to your conscious and subconscious mind to hear the affirmations said in your own voice. Choose one or two of the affirmations from the set to start working with. You only need one or two affirmations, used consistently, to make a substantial change in your life.

Choose one affirmation that feels easy to you and choose another that generates resistance or disbelief. The idea is to practice extending your current self-imposed limits and encourage growth.

Say your chosen affirmation loud enough for your mind to hear your voice saying the words and take notice of how you feel as you begin and as you continue your practice. Repeat your chosen affirmation multiple times a day for at least 30 days and reinforce your affirmation by writing it in your journal.

You can change your life by beginning an affirmation practice – using one or two favorite affirmations over the course of 30 to 60 days can permanently change your mindset and your life.

Healing is a wide and deep subject, one that cannot be completely covered in one blog post. Today’s affirmation set is designed to help you take your first (or next) step toward self-healing. To heal someone or something is to start the process of making it “sound” or “healthy” again.

As perfectly imperfect human beings, we all have lots of scars. Some visible, some invisible, and some that can only be felt by tapping into Spirit and the wisdom within we all carry. Read that sentence again – especially the last part. We all have Spirit and wisdom within – the challenge is to be able to tap into it.

Our society encourages us to look outside of ourselves for healing. Physical ailments can be addressed by doctors, regional or local health clinics, or by experts like naturopaths. We can walk into any drugstore in any area of the country and find shelves full of products claiming to cure whatever ails us. For something like a common cold, that can be the easiest route, and a productive one, but what about what ails your heart or your spirit?

You have the choice to begin healing yourself. I won’t tell you it will be easy because it won’t be, but you can start the healing process and make excellent progress in the next 21 to 30 days by using the affirmations below. Start by reading the affirmations listed below and choose one or two that resonate with you.

Which one generates resistance in your heart, mind, or spirit as you read it? If it hits a “sore spot” you might consider starting with that affirmation, as it’s one that you reacted to. If you like several of them, make note of that, but choose just one or two to focus on, and make the language in them different enough that they don’t cover the exact same ground. Once you’ve found the one or two you want to use for the next 21 to 30 days, write them down in your own hand, adjusting the language so it sounds like YOU, the way you normally talk, as much as possible.

Give yourself the gift of time to start this affirmation practice and know that after 21 to 30 days you may not be FULLY healed, but you’re better than you would have been if you chose to do nothing and simply go on living your life. Facing the parts of your life that need healing won’t be easy, but it’s WORTH IT.
